How we're best serving our patients at this time.
We hope this post finds you well, and that you've had some success in finding ways to create new healthy mental and physical habits during this incredibly confusing time. Given how much everything keeps changing in our world, and with how the state guidelines have evolved each week, we wanted to update you with what we at Mobility-Doc are doing at this time. We're committed to finding a way to serve all of our patients. Even if you're quarantined at home, we have a plan for you. Reach out to us if you need help setting any of the following options up for yourself, or if you have any questions at all. We're working on updating our website to make it easier for everyone to navigate towards what they need faster. Heres a list of our current status and offerings. This email is coming to you via our secure patient only portal system. I apologize if you receive another email with I will send out to the general public.
We're still open. Physical therapy and chiropractic is part of Ambulatory Health Services. The verbiage of life sustaining vs non life sustaining has been frustrating for all business owners, however the comprehensive list provided by our local government has been more helpful. You can schedule the same way you always have with us.
We ask that, if possible, you consider Telehealth services with us. We've already set some patients up with this. For those of you who don't feel comfortable coming in for a face-to-face session, or if you're looking for us to create a custom PT plan for you to do in the comfort of your own home, a Telehealth session would be perfect. It's actually quite amazing. We will set up an invitation to us via ZOOM, and then we can either video chat, or just chat via audio. For some of you who are already in-network with us - make sure you check with us first - it can be billed to your insurance. Leaving you only with your standard co-pay or co-insurance. It is worth noting that everyone can take advantage of this if they want to pay with an HSA card, or just pay privately. This is actually not a new service from us, just a service that all of a sudden became much more important.
We will continue to keep the number of people in our room to be less than 10 at a time. Please don't come with a small army. If you need to bring your family with you we ask that you just let us know so that we can plan accordingly. We have a lot of free space now, and a lot of options to help us accommodate everyone.
Are you looking for a strength and mobility training plan for wellness purposes? You can definitely stay home for that, and you're a perfect candidate for our telemedicine services. That would be considered private pay, and you could use an HSA card, but insurance wouldn't cover that even if you came into our office.
Our standard practices of sterilizing the environment in our office will not change. We have plenty of wipes and cleaning supplies to keep our small practice clean. Even after all of this ends, our attention to cleaning will not change.

Firstly, our thoughts are with everyone who is in some way currently affected by Covid-19. Times like these clean our proverbial lenses and provide us with a very clear perspective in just how privileged some of us are and just how much help others will need. That extends to both citizens and businesses.
We want you all to know that we’re doing our part to promote social distancing in our office. Mobility-Doc is fortunate to be an outpatient sports orthopedic physical therapy and chiropractic business. Our practice helps healthy, physically fit patients who are dealing with musculoskeletal injuries. Our reality is currently very different than the realities of many businesses around the country that have no choice but to close down. To further our participation in fighting the virus we will be doing the follow:
We ask all of you to be considerate of each other and your environment. The vast majority of our patients are active and healthy, but we do have a handful of elderly patients that fall into the at-risk population (due to age per the CDC). Many of those patients continue to come to us at this time, because we help them to continue to have less pain, and be more active. We also have a handful of pregnant patients, cancer survivors, etc. Please be mindful of them when entering our facility. We will continue to follow the instruction of our governor and the CDC on how to operate at this time. As an out-patient center we fully anticipate remaining open to continue to serve the patients that depend on our services.
Of course this will continue to evolve. If anything changes, we will inform you all.

Telehealth Initial Consultation
You are not average. Why should your care be?
We've had an amazing number of patients ask us if we could still help them even though they lived too far to come to us regularly. After experimenting with what we could do, and how we could do it, we came up with Mobility-Doc Remote. No longer do you have to settle for average care, or get lost in the medical mess of bouncing from specialist to specialist.
Let us be your healthcare consultants by managing your case. We can provide you with home exercise plans, direct you to the right specialists, answers your questions and calm your concerns as you get back to doing what you love, and so much more.
How It Works
We will start the month with a scheduled phone call, or video consultation. It's your choice. Expect to talk to us for approximately 30-minutes. We will find out everything about you, your case, and your goals. After that we will provide you with a detailed email summary of our conversation, and what your action plan should be. For some this might mean we are narrowing down a diagnosis and helping you to connect with the right local medical professionals. For others this might mean we then create a home exercise, or recovery, plan for you. For many of our current patients we are also monitoring, and editing, their training programs so that they can transition faster back to their regular activities.During the month we will require you to check in with us at the end of each week and provide us with a full report regarding your progress. We encourage you to send us questions throughout the week as well. We will do our best to answer immediately, but at the latest we will answer you within 24 hours.
Add On A Detailed Corrective Exercise Program
We will work with you to create your home PT plan. It will be specific to your goals, current difficulties, and needs. We prefer touse TrainHeroic, free for you, to send you your program. That way you have video, audio, written description, and you can easily follow your program.
